About us

An independent publication about starting yoga — no studio payments, no affiliate rankings, no memberships for sale.

We publish guides about beginning a yoga practice: how to start at home, beginner poses broken into stages, short routines that survive a busy week, style comparisons, and the gear that genuinely matters. Every guide is researched and written by our editorial team, checked by a qualified yoga teacher, reviewed on a schedule, and published with the date of its last review — including when the review changed nothing.

How we pay for it. We build websites for yoga studios, teachers and online course sellers. That work is completely separate from the editorial side: a client cannot be covered more favourably, and no client is named in a guide.

What that means for the guides. No studio, app, mat brand or teacher training can buy a mention, a ranking or a link. Where a guide recommends a prop or a style, it is because it fits the case being described. Where we have a commercial relationship with something we discuss, the guide says so in the text.

What we do not do. We do not sell classes, memberships or equipment, we do not run affiliate links, and we do not accept products in exchange for coverage.

This is not medical advice. Our guides describe general practice for healthy adults. Existing injuries, pregnancy, recent surgery, joint conditions and persistent pain need a doctor, physiotherapist or an experienced teacher working with you in person, and we say so in the guides rather than selling you another programme.

Corrections. If something here is wrong or out of date, write to us and we will fix it and re-date the guide. Corrections are made in the text, not quietly.

Written in house

Every guide is researched and written by our editorial team, not spun from other sites.

Checked by teachers

Pose instructions are reviewed by qualified yoga teachers before publication, and re-checked on a schedule.

No paid placements

No studio, app or mat brand can buy a mention, a ranking or a link here.

Twelve languages

Every guide is translated, not machine-popped — each language has its own URL and its own review date.

Not medical advice

We say plainly when pain, pregnancy or an injury needs a doctor rather than another pose.
